Biography
Christian Latterman, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He is a graduate of Hannover Medical School in Hannover, Germany and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed fellowships in sports medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and Rush University Medical Center.
Dr. Latterman will serve as Chief of the Sports Medicine Service and Director of the Cartilage Repair Center. His clinical interests include treatment of cartilage and knee injuries, and sports medicine injuries.
A clinician and scientist, Dr. Latterman’s research interests include regenerative medicine and novel treatment techniques in early osteoarthritis and cartilage repair. He is an expert in the translation of new treatment technologies into clinical practice. Dr. Latterman will evaluate patients with sports-related injuries of the knee and shoulder at Brigham and Women’s Health Care Center in Chestnut Hill, and Brigham and Women’s/Mass General Health Care Center in Foxborough. Dr. Latterman will be performing surgeries at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and Brigham and Women’s/Mass General Health Care Center in Foxborough.
