The patient is a 69-year-old female with progressive left knee pain and functional limitation secondary to advanced degenerative joint disease. She has failed conservative management, including activity modification, analgesics, and physical therapy. Her pain levels are severe enough that it makes it difficult to perform her basic activities of daily living.
