Severe Hip Dysplasia in 13M

HPI

This is a 13-year-old male who presents with 6 months of ongoing bilateral hip pain. He walks with no aid and has no knee pain.

PMH

He has no pertinent past medical or surgical history.

PE

On exam, leg lengths are equal. Positive Stitchfield sign and FADIR test. No tenderness noted over the greater trochanter, ASIS, or SI joints. Supine range of motion: flexion to 90°, external rotation to 20°, and internal rotation to 60° bilaterally. Prone range of motion: internal rotation to 90° and external rotation to 30° bilaterally. Neurologic and vascular status (NVM) intact.
