Born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Lebanon, Diane is an incoming Orthopaedic Surgery Resident in Creighton University’s inaugural residency class. She recently earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Leadership and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (2025–2026), graduating with the highest honors. Diane previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Division of Orthopaedic Trauma, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital (2022–2025). At Johns Hopkins University, she was appointed Teaching Associate of Surgery in Summer 2024, then advanced to Course Coordinator in 2025 and Curriculum Developer in 2026. Diane earned her MD from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 2022, where she also completed the Scholarly Concentration Program with research in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery. Her academic work has spanned pediatrics, biomechanics, orthopaedics, and gender equity in medicine. The quadrilingual doctor graduated from AUB with distinction, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Biology, whilst being an active student-athlete advocating for change and empowering people wherever she went.
